About us
The South Stradbroke Island Landcare Group is a group of volunteers who aim to conserve and protect the unique natural flora and fauna of South Stradbroke Island. South Stradbroke Island Landcare Group maintain the biodiversity by:
- re-vegetation of native flora
- rehabilitation of native fauna
- eradication of weeds and exotic pests
- monitor coastal waterways and underground water
- dducate the community about the fragility of this natural resource and the importance of conservation
- introduction and educate bush regeneration and management skills
- involve individuals and residents in regenerating and maintenance work.
